The Chili Open Raises Funds for Project Self-Sufficiency

The Chili Open Supports Project Self-Sufficiency
Housing Initiative

February 3, 2024

Funds raised by the Chili Open will be directed to Project Give Shelter, a Project Self-Sufficiency initiative to help Sussex County residents address emergency housing needs.

The Chili Open Golf Classic is played on a makeshift course at Sussex County Fairgrounds.

 

  • Golfers play two out of four nine-hole, par three courses

  • Lunch featuring a selection of beverages, chili, and other fare

  • Live music from R.E.N.O. the Band

  • Putting contest

  • Raffles and a 50/50

​

Rotary Clubs from Branchville, Newton, and Wallkill are instrumental in organizing and serving breakfast and lunch, staffing a cash bar, and providing souvenir photos of the golfers, among other event assistance.
