Honor their Memories with Service to Others

Richard “Dick” Kowal and Michael “Mickey” Hunt were lifelong friends, Port Jervis residents, and pillars of their community who tragically lost their lives in a boating accident in 2021.

These two extraordinary men lived lives of service and were heroes to all who knew and loved them. In their honor, Project Self-Sufficiency will establish October 14, 2022, as the first annual day of service in their honor.

Those who register to volunteer in honor of Dick and Mickey will choose to serve in either the Sussex County, NJ, or Port Jervis, NY, community from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on October 14, 2022.

Registration is $25 per individual. Each registrant will receive a T-shirt and water bottle, as well as light breakfast and a boxed lunch.
