Healthcare providers and social service organizations offer vaccines, healthcare screenings, and advice about health and wellness to Sussex and Warren County residents at Project Self-Sufficiency's annual Health Fair.
All services are free of charge. Attendance is open to the public.
Project Self-Sufficiency's Breast Health Program Offers Free Mammograms, Public Awareness Campaign
The Breast Health Awareness Program at Project Self-Sufficiency educates teens and women about the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.
The education and outreach program has reached more than 70,000 girls and women.
Free mammograms are offered periodically at Project Self-Sufficiency to uninsured and underinsured women over the age of 40. Referrals are also made to the New Jersey Cancer Education & Early Detection (NJ CEED) Program.
Mammograms Save Lives
Project Self-Sufficiency has partnered with the New Jersey Herald, Intercar Mercedes Benz and Sussex Honda to underscore the importance of annual mammograms in the prevention and early detection of breast cancer. In addition to monthly profiles in the New Jersey Herald, billboards, flyers and other materials are regularly distributed to Sussex and Northern Warren county residents.
