Holiday Toy Drive Brings Joy to Sussex County Children

sohonline

Funds to purchase toys for needy Sussex County children during the holiday season are greatly appreciated.

The annual goal of the Season of Hope Holiday Toy Drive is to collect 20,000 new and unwrapped toys for distribution to children and teens.

Partners of the initiative include the Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency, Chatterbox Drive-In, iHeartMedia, Inc., Intercar Mercedes Benz, the New Jersey Herald, Pass it Along, Selective Insurance Company of America, Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, and Sussex Honda.

Toys must be new and unwrapped.

Items can be dropped off at Project Self-Sufficiency from November 1st - December 31st, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Gifts received after December 20th will be distributed the following year.

A limited number of additional drop-off sites are located throughout Sussex County and northern Warren County. Call 973-940-3500 for a location near you.

Donations of gift wrap, ribbons, gift bags and boxes, and stocking stuffers are also welcome.

For information about donating toys, or the funds to purchase toys, call 973-940-3500. Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers!

The families of Sussex and Northern Warren Counties thank you and wish you Happy Holidays!

Susan Murphy and Selective Insurance Company of America President and CEO Greg Murphy are co-chairpersons of the Season of Hope Holiday Toy Drive. "Project Self-Sufficiency's Season of Hope Toy Drive can help make a child's Christmas a merry one. Local residents who donate a new, unwrapped toy have the comfort of knowing that they contributed to the joy of children in our own community on what should always be a very special day. That, to me, is the spirit of Christmas we all want to share."
Area Middle Schools and High Schools are invited to "Stuff the Stocking" this year!
